EXPERIENCE

20 years of music engraving
My name is Pachi Turmo, and since 1995, when music engraving software was taking its first steps and coinciding with my academic training at the Conservatory of Music of Huesca, I decided to combine two of my great passions, music and computers.
Always with the music notation program Finale , I began to collaborate with musicians, composers and music scholars in various works of editing and recovery of both popular music and so-called "cult music".
Among many other works, we can highlight the following:
-
1997. Recovery and digital reissue of the scores of the "Complines for choir and orchestra" by Pablo Hernández, composed in honor of Our Lady of Atocha but traditionally performed in Huesca in honor of Saint Lawrence every August 9, the eve of the feast of the holy. The edition was supervised by the musician and composer from Huesca Antonio Viñuales Gracia.
-
2000. Responsible for the musical edition of the book Danzas de Sobrarbe , by Isabel Riazuelo, published by the Centro del Libro de Aragón.
-
2015. Musical edition of the Alto Aragonese Popular Songbook , (collected, transcribed and selected by) Juan José de Mur Bernad and published by the Institute of Altoaragonese Studies.
- 2017-2019. Edition and layout of several scores for Editorial Pirineo, within its series Colección Música including choral works by Antonio Viñuales and for solo piano or with choir by Mariano Ferrández.
- 2022. An adaptation of Isaac Albéniz's operetta "The Magic Opal" was commissioned by the Teatro de la Zarzuela and co-authored with Javier L. Ibarz. The operetta, originally premiered in English on January 19, 1893, was translated into Spanish and debuted at the same theater on April 1, 2022.
